6 Tips To Look Sexy Without Looking Vulgar

Tips To Look Sexy Without Looking Vulgar
Any lady who has a good sense of fashion knows that you don’t have to literally wear nothing to look sexy. There is a very fine line between dressing sexy and dressing vulgar. Looking sexy is an art. It is not something any woman can do by just stripping her clothes off. Sexy defines elegance, poise and sensuality. Vulgarity on the other hand is cheap, sleazy and tawdry. Often women go overboard in an attempt to look sexy and slutty, and just make themselves appear vulgar and gaudy. Here we bring tips on how to maintain a balance and dress sexy, not vulgar. Keep reading.

1. Expose if you wish, do not overexpose:

It means that if you are wearing a sweetheart neck, cleavage show, then hide your legs. Or if your outfit is way too short, then see that you have covered your upper-body well. Being sexy means creating a mystery about yourself. You cannot do that, if you practically dress naked. Hence, if you are exposing a certain portion of your body, balance it by hiding the other parts.

2. Show only what is worth seeing:

When you have flab sticking out of your waistline and still expose your stomach, it looks nothing but ugly. When your thighs are nothing in shape, and you still dare to wear a body hugging micro-mini skirt, it looks lame! Get this straight-you don’t have to expose your body to look sexy. If you think that there is a part of your body that you are proud of, then there is no issues in flaunting it off. But if not, then keep it covered.

3. Dress your body type:

If you are slim, wear clothes that add volume to your figure. If you are on the healthier side, then wear clothes that make you appear slimmer. Don’t just wear something because it looks good on somebody else. Different clothes suit different people. You got to wear something that suits you. For example, women with cankles, hide your legs! Those with saddlebags, avoid skinny jeans. Women with heavy bust line, don’t show too much cleavage.

4. Dress for the occasion:

There is always something ideal which you can wear for every occasion. A woman, who understands this, is able to dress appropriately and turn heads in admiration and not contempt! For example, if you are going for your child’s parents-teachers meeting, you cannot wear a cleavage-show, body hugging dress; no matter how much sexy it makes you look. You will only look vulgar.

5. Keep it less gaudy:

Avoid too much of flash in terms of the jewelry you wear, your makeup and even your clothes. If you are wearing a neon pink top, do not match it with a pair of neon green pants! Instead, wear something sober to match with it. If your dress is dull, you can add glam to it by wearing great jewelry and makeup. But if your dress is too flashy, keep your makeup minimal and also avoid wearing too much of jewelry. At the end, it is all about maintaining a balance.

6. Learn from the celebrities:

Finally take inspiration from some amazingly well-dressed celebrities who dress sexy according to their body type. Here are some of our best dressed and sexiest celebrities you could learn from.

5 Tips for Making Your Lips Look Plumper

5 Tips for Making Your Lips Look Plumper
Plump lips are a desirable look for many. They are a great asset if you are a model and have to get a portfolio made for you. It gives a good look if you are in the glam world. Not only that, if you are to attend a classy party or a ball, then plump lips add to your beauty. Here are some tips to make your lips look plumper.

1. Give your lips enough water
Dry lips are difficult to manage when it comes to giving a plump look. Drink good amount of water if you want fuller lips regularly. Keep them hydrated. Use a good lip balm or Vaseline to cover them so that the weather outside does not take away the natural moisture from them.
5 Tips for Making Your Lips Look Plumper
2. Opt for a lip massage
You massage your face, neck and back. Don’t you? Massage your lips too. One way to massage is gently press your teeth first on the lower lip without biting them and then your upper lips. This must be done for about 10 minutes without making teeth marks. Drink water then. Another way is to apply a good lip balm and then rubbing your lips gently with your fingers for about 10 minutes. Always drink water after a lip massage.

3. Try a lip-liner
While you wear your makeup, use a concealer first on the outer side of your lips to hide your lip boundary. Then use a lip-liner according to the color of your lipstick and apply it outside the boundary of your lips. See that the color of your lip-liner is a shade darker than your lipstick. After you have applied the liner, apply your lipstick.

4. Use shimmer

Fuller lips are best seen when you use shimmer along with your lipstick. Apply shimmer on both the lips at the end of your makeup. See that it matches with the shimmer on your eyes or cheeks. Avoid using too much on the lips. It should be just enough.

5. Do not overdo it

The size of your lips should decide how much fuller you want them to look. If you overdo the makeup, it might make you look very different from what you want to. It might even put your spirits down. Initially, choose a shade of lipstick that is very near to your original lip color. Apply gloss just in the middle of your lips to see how it looks. Then use a lip-liner and extend the lipstick area. See if you want more and then do accordingly. This will definitely make you comfortable with your new look.

7 Steps to Apply Mascara

7 Steps to Apply Mascara
Mascara makes the eyes look stunning and sexy. If applied correctly, mascara makes the eyes look bigger. Mascara is a must for women who have thin eyelashes. Listed below are some steps to apply mascara, read on.

1. Find the right type

It is important to find the right type of mascara for eyes. While buying mascara, always look for the color and feel. Black colored mascara can compliment any eyelashes. Mascara can also define the eyes if chosen with the volume feature. Mascara is also available for length.

2. Choosing the right type

Choose mascara with a volume for thin eyelashes. Volume mascara will make the eyes look super sexy and attractive. Choose waterproof mascara for the whole day. Waterproof mascara is for women who tend to wear mascara all the time. For normal skin complexion, black mascara is perfect. For fair skin complexion, brown mascara may do the trick.

3. Open it in the right way

Many women tend to pump the mascara in and out of the bottle. This creates air pressure in the bottle; as a result the mascara gets dry. This then affects the application on eyes. While opening the bottle, press the brush in a circular motion gently, so that the brush gets the desired amount. While removing the wand from the bottle, dust off the excess amount, or else it will leak.

4. Start with bottom

Always apply the mascara from the bottom side on the eyelashes. Women, who apply from the top side, often face the problem of tiny dots that appear on the lashes after the application. Starting with bottom would give a smooth finish to the application. Wiggle the brush gently from bottom to top for a perfect coat.

5. A perfect coat

Do not apply a single coat! For a perfect application, it is must to apply two to three coats. Two to three coats can make the eyelashes look thicker. Apply the wand in the same direction of the eyelashes. Apply the first coat, wait for a minute, then apply the second coat for perfect results.

6. Apply a liner

For making the eyes look stunning, apply a black liner on the top. A black liner will compliment the mascara on the eyes. Some women also apply concealer to hide the spots around the eyes. Application of concealer is optional. It depends on individual liking.

7. Use of eyelash curler

Women also use a curler before the application of mascara. This is again a personal choice. Curler can help to curl the lashes to a good extent.
The look of the eyes can completely change on application of mascara, do remember the above steps.

5 Super Tips On How To Apply Eye Makeup

5 Super Tips On How To Apply Eye Makeup
Have you heard the saying, “A woman can speak through her eyes”? It’s true. Your eyes say a lot about you and it’s your eye makeup that can make or break your look. All your efforts of getting a new haircut or dressing sexy will go waste if you have not applied eye makeup correctly. Read on, and learn how to apply eye makeup perfectly.

Tip 1: Add definition to your eyes

Leslie, 31, works for an HR company and conducts interviews throughout the day. “It’s important that I carry a crisp look in my eye all day long. My secret to getting those well defined eyes is my eye liner. I use a thin and brown eyeliner and create a strong definition by starting at the inside corner and then working my way to the outer corner.” Even we think that using the eyeliner to add crisp definition to your eyes is a top tip on how to apply eye makeup.

Tip 2: Make optimum use of the concealer

Patty, 27, a working, mother has been having many sleepless nights since the birth of her child a few months back. This has given her dark patches below the eyes. She talks about the importance of a concealer. “Using the concealer is tricky. Too much or too less can spoil your look. The best way to use the concealer is to apply 3-4 dots under the eyes, starting from the inner corner. Pat them gently to conceal those nasty dark patches”, she advices.

Tip 3: Curl your eyelashes well

We have to agree with Robyn, 24, a graduate, who says that curling eyelashes never went out of vogue. “Simply warm up your curler with low heat from your blow dryer. Open up the curler and clamp them on the roots of your lashes. Make sure you do it gently and not hurt yourself. Let it remain that way for 10 seconds and then clamp off”, said Robyn. “Just make sure that you remove all the old mascara from your lashes before curling them”, she added. We think that curling your eyelashes is a fantastic way to get that seductive look in your eyes.

Tip 4: Use multi-toned eye shadow

Leslie also swore by the use of multi-toned eye shadow in her eye makeup ritual. “A few years back I decided that I wanted to learn how to apply eye makeup perfectly. So I decided to experiment by using 2 or even 3 eye shadow tones when I applied eye makeup. I’ve never stopped doing it since!”, said Leslie. We think that a great tip to use more than one tone in your eye shadow is to work your way from the eyelids with a shadow color that matches your skin tone. Progress on to the brows and use a slightly darker eye shadow color.

Tip 5: Use the perfect mascara brush for flawless application

Mascara really goes a long way in giving your eyes a fuller look. It is a must for eye makeup. Your eye lashes will look longer, thicker and sexier! “A mascara brush that worked well for my friend didn’t do wonders to my lashes. I went to the mall and tried many mascara brushes until I found the right one for me. To all women, I recommend using a good quality mascara brush”, said Robyn. We suggest that you don’t blink your eyes while you apply mascara because this may stick to your eyelids or leave unwanted lumps of mascara.

7 Best Places To Get A Tattoo

7 Best Tattoo Locations On The Female Body
Tattooing is a kind of body art that is gaining immense popularity among young girls and middle-aged women, thanks to the creative designs that tattoo artists are coming up with. Although having a tattoo on the body can be exciting, you cannot afford to take a hasty decision. If you wish to have a tattoo on your body, you must first take into consideration several factors. The most important ones being, the artist whom you’d be consulting, the design you’d be choosing and the most essential one, the placement of the tattoo. The location of your tattoo depends on your discretion, whether you want to flaunt it all the time or wish to reveal only when you want. To help you with your decision, here’s a list of body parts where you can have your tattoo.

1. Lower back

A tattoo on the lower back is the most feasible and sexiest option that can be. Firstly, the lower back is a comparatively flatter part of the body, so getting a tattoo done is easy. Secondly, it adds to your sex appeal because it can be seen only when you bend; not otherwise. And you know the rule of thumb, what’s intriguing is always sexy!

2. Upper Back

If you wish to engrave your favorite quotes on your body or want a beautiful, symmetrical design, then the upper back is the right place. Although the upper back has a lot of bumps that make it difficult to tattoo the skin, it looks extremely attractive when you have a tattoo there.

3. Back

The back is the right place for a real big design. Since, your back comprises a large area, this is the perfect place for you to exhibit your taste as well as your tattoo artist’s talent. For example, you can have an exotic urn, which has intricate details in it, painted on your back. This will not only reflect the mastery of your tattoo artist, but will also show your love for oriental designs.

4. Ankle

This is one of the best places for a simple, feminine design. What’s more, it makes you look sexier than you already are! Plus, you can reveal it occasionally if you want. You can wear a pair of stockings whenever you don’t want to flaunt it.

SLOGAN T-SHIRT

CARE - Kristiana V
Photos by May Chan

Finally I am back with an outfit post! This is a bit of a picture heavy post, so make sure you click to see the rest of the photos, as well as the outfit details! I wore this combination (minus the heels) for like 3 consecutive days, which is very unlike me, but I simply had no time or ideas for anything else. I figured it was about time to show it on the blog. Adding a blazer to any look will instantly smarten it up, which is great if you are wearing a simple t-shirt and jeans. While shooting these photos with May, it was really windy and we were both freezing (hence the red nose and hands) and today I had to stay in bed because I caught a cold :( #bloggerproblems #sacrifice
Tomorrow is quite a busy day for me, with business law lectures/tutorials, group meetings and a blogger event in London at the evening, so I really need to get better! I hope that you like this outfit and the item details are at the bottom of the post. Enjoy! ♥

White EmbroideredDresses

You guys already know my love for white embroidered dresses, now this look has me wanting an embroidered top as well. Love the idea of layering one over a nude romper, like this one. I normally see them layered over white, but the nude really makes the embroidered details pop.
